Normalize 0–1
Rescales the working hyperspectral data to a normalized range using The operation changes numerical intensity scaling while preserving relative ordering within the rescaled data.
Overview
Rescales the working hyperspectral data to a normalized range using The operation changes numerical intensity scaling while preserving relative ordering within the rescaled data.
- A common numerical range is required.
- Preparing data for visualization or downstream numerical processing.
- Comparing algorithms that expect similarly scaled inputs.
Important
Normalization changes numerical values. It does not recover calibration, reflectance, absorbance, concentration, or other physical units.
Do not assume normalized values retain the original quantitative units.
Use the same normalization procedure consistently when comparing datasets.
Workflow
1. Load a hyperspectral dataset.
2. Select Normalize to [0, 1].
3. Allow processing to complete.
4. Inspect the normalized image and spectra.
5. Use Reset Filters if original scaling is required.
