ENVI Import

Imports hyperspectral datasets stored in ENVI format using the ENVI header and its associated binary image file.

Overview

Imports hyperspectral datasets stored in ENVI format using the ENVI header and its associated binary image file.

Select the .hdr file only. IDCubePro automatically searches for the

  • BIL - Band Interleaved by Line
  • BIP - Band Interleaved by Pixel

Associated files may include .bil, .bsq, .bip, .raw, .dat, or .img.

IDCubePro honors the ENVI image dimensions, data type, header offset, byte order, and interleave information.

Physical wavelengths are read from the ENVI header when available.

If wavelength units are declared in micrometers, IDCubePro converts When valid physical wavelengths are available, bands are sorted by wavelength while preserving registration with the image cube.

If no valid wavelength vector is available, IDCubePro uses band

Workflow

1. Choose Import ENVI Dataset.

2. Select the ENVI .hdr file.

3. IDCubePro locates the corresponding data file.

4. Header and binary data are read.

5. Inspect wavelengths, units, and image dimensions.
