Hyperion L1R Import

Imports EO-1 Hyperion L1R hyperspectral data using the ENVI-style header and associated binary data file.

Overview

Imports EO-1 Hyperion L1R hyperspectral data using the ENVI-style header and associated binary data file.

Select the .hdr file. IDCubePro automatically searches for the matching Hyperion .L1R or compatible binary data file.

Image dimensions, data type, byte order, offset, interleave, and wavelength information are read from the header.

Physical wavelengths are used when available. Micrometer units are converted to nanometers when declared in the header.

If wavelength information is unavailable or invalid, band indices 1:N are used.

The importer preserves the established Hyperion T9/L1R detector-band rearrangement used by IDCubePro.

Pixels with values 0 or 1 in internal bands are replaced using the average of the adjacent spectral bands.

Large images may be resized to the configured IDCube tile resolution.

Workflow

1. Choose Import Hyperion L1R.

2. Select the Hyperion .hdr file.

3. IDCubePro locates the binary data file.

4. Header, wavelengths, and image cube are loaded.

5. Hyperion-specific rearrangement and bad-pixel correction are applied.

6. Verify spectral range and image dimensions.
