NITF Import
Imports NITF, NTF, or NSIF imagery into IDCubePro using MATLAB NITF files may contain multiple image segments. IDCubePro detects the readable segments and lets you choose a single image or all RGB or other multichannel image data are preserved rather than automatically converted to grayscale.
Overview
Imports NITF, NTF, or NSIF imagery into IDCubePro using MATLAB NITF files may contain multiple image segments. IDCubePro detects the readable segments and lets you choose a single image or all RGB or other multichannel image data are preserved rather than automatically converted to grayscale.
When multiple compatible image segments are imported together, their channels are concatenated along the third IDCube dimension.
Generic NITF image segments are not assumed to represent wavelengths.
IDCubePro therefore uses band indices 1:N.
NITF metadata are preserved and a readable metadata text file is written.
Workflow
1. Choose Import NITF / NTF.
2. Select the .ntf or .nitf file.
3. If multiple image segments are present, choose the desired import mode.
4. Inspect the imported channels and metadata.
Multiple NITF image segments should not automatically be interpreted
