IDCubePro 2026 - Processing Settings
Overview
Processing Settings controls the spatial processing resolution used when IDCubePro imports selected very large image datasets.
This setting is particularly useful for satellite, JP2, GeoTIFF, and other large raster datasets where full-resolution processing can require substantial memory.
1830 pixels - Fast / Low Memory Uses a smaller working resolution.
Recommended for quick preview, laptops, or systems with limited memory.
Provides a balance between spatial detail, processing speed, and memory use.
This is the default IDCubePro setting.
10980 pixels - Full Native Resolution Uses the highest preset spatial resolution.
Recommended when maximum spatial detail is required and sufficient RAM is available.
Allows a user-defined square processing resolution.
Enter a positive numeric value in pixels.
Increasing processing resolution increases the number of pixels that must be loaded and processed.
Higher resolution generally provides more spatial detail but requires more RAM, more disk I/O, and longer processing times.
Lower resolution reduces memory use and can improve responsiveness when working with very large datasets.
WHEN DOES THE SETTING TAKE EFFECT?
The selected value is stored by IDCubePro and is used by compatible import routines.
Changing Processing Settings does not resample or modify a datacube that is already loaded.
To use a newly selected resolution, import or reopen a compatible dataset after changing the setting.
These settings are used internally by compatible import functions.
1. Open Processing Settings before importing a very large dataset.
2. Select 5490 for routine use.
3. Use 1830 when memory usage or speed is more important than spatial detail.
4. Use 10980 when full spatial detail is required and sufficient memory is available.
5. Select Custom only when a specific processing resolution is needed.
6. Click OK to save the setting.
