Install IDCubePro on macOS

Follow the Apple Silicon installation procedure, configure the required runtimes, launch IDCubePro, and choose the Free edition or activate your Pro license.

Before starting: This procedure and its screenshots come from the Apple Silicon installation guide. Intel Mac compatibility and specific supported macOS versions are not established by that guide. Download only the current release from the official IDCubePro download page.

1. Before you begin

Your Apple Silicon installation guide specifies a Java runtime prerequisite. Install Amazon Corretto 11 for macOS ARM64 before proceeding, using the vendor instructions.

Your IDCubePro installer also guides you through setting up MATLAB Runtime. The exact MATLAB Runtime release must match the one used to compile IDCubePro 2026; check your current build documentation rather than substituting an arbitrary release.

2. Download and extract IDCubePro

Open the IDCubePro 2026 download/product page and obtain the macOS Apple Silicon installer ZIP. Save it to your Downloads folder.

Extract the ZIP using Finder (double-click the downloaded file), or use Terminal. The guide names the archive macIDCubePro2026Mac.zip.

unzip macIDCubePro2026Mac.zip

The extracted package should contain macIDCubePro2026Mac_Installer. There is normally no need to use sudo to extract a file inside your own Downloads folder.

3. Run the macOS installer

In Finder, open Downloads and double-click macIDCubePro2026Mac_Installer. The IDCubePro 2026 installer welcome screen appears. Select Next.

Choose the installation location for IDCubePro. The screenshot shows the default folder under /Applications. Select Next.

Choose the location for MATLAB Runtime, or leave the installer’s default destination. Continue with Next.

Read the MATLAB Runtime license agreement. If you agree, select Yes and continue.

Review the confirmation screen showing the application and runtime installation destinations. Click Begin Install and wait for the installation to finish.

If macOS blocks the installer, verify that it was downloaded from the official IDCubePro site and review the security message. Do not disable macOS security protections globally.

4. Launch IDCubePro 2026

After installation, open IDCubePro from the installed application location. The main IDCubePro workspace should appear.

5. Choose Free or activate Pro

Continue with Free

Use the included Free features without entering a Pro license key. Both editions use the same installer.

Activate Pro

From the application, open Account → Activate License, enter your license key, and select Activate. An internet connection is required according to the activation dialog.
