Install IDCubePro on Windows
Download the Windows installer, set up the required MATLAB Runtime, launch IDCubePro 2026, and start with Free or activate Pro.
1. Before you begin
You will need the IDCubePro 2026 Windows installer, sufficient disk space for the software and its dependencies, and permission to install applications on your computer.
IDCubePro is a compiled MATLAB application. The installer checks the MATLAB Runtime environment. In the provided Windows screenshots, the installation confirmation screen reports MATLAB Runtime R2025b as already installed and up to date. If the required runtime is missing, follow the prompts displayed by your current installer.
2. Download and open the installer
Download the Windows installation package from the official IDCubePro website and locate the downloaded installer, usually in the Downloads folder. Double-click the installer to begin.
If Windows displays “Windows protected your PC”, stop to verify that the file came from the official IDCubePro distribution and that its publisher, signature (when available), and filename are expected. The screenshot shows the More info control.
After verifying the installer and your organization's security requirements, you may use More info to inspect the available launch option. If the origin cannot be verified, do not run the file; contact HSpeQ support instead.
3. Install IDCubePro 2026
When the IDCubePro 2026 Installer welcome screen appears, click Next.
Select the destination folder. The example shown uses C:\Program Files\IDCubePro_2026. Leave the default location unless you need a different one. To create a desktop icon, check Add shortcut to desktop, then click Next.
Review the installation confirmation. The supplied screenshot shows the IDCubePro installation path and MATLAB Runtime R2025b already installed at C:\Program Files\MATLAB\MATLAB Runtime\R2025b. If your computer requires the runtime, follow the installer instructions for your build.
When the information is correct, click Begin Install.
Wait until installation finishes. When you see Installation Complete, click Close.
4. First launch and initialization
After installing, launch IDCubePro 2026 from its desktop shortcut, or locate it through the Windows Start menu. An IDCubePro splash screen appears with an Initializing IDCubePro… progress indicator. Wait for initialization to complete.
On first launch, the Welcome to IDCubePro 2026 window appears. It offers two choices: enter a license key and select Activate Pro, or click Continue with Free to use the Free edition without activation.
When the application opens, the IDCubePro workspace is ready to use. You can then import data, explore images, and examine spectral information. The screenshot below shows the main analysis workspace supplied with the instructions.
5. Free edition and Pro activation
Free and Pro use the same installer. No separate installation is needed to upgrade to Pro.
Free edition
At the welcome dialog, select Continue with Free. No license key is necessary to begin using available Free features.
Pro edition
At the welcome dialog, enter your IDCubePro license key and choose Activate Pro. Activation can also be started later from within the program.
To activate later, open Account → Activate License in IDCubePro. The Account & Support window provides options for Activate License, License Information, and license management.
Enter your license key in the activation dialog and follow the on-screen confirmation steps. An internet connection may be needed for activation.
